“The Doctor Will See You Now”…not words you necessarily want to hear when it concerns our favorite curmudgeon doctor, Gregory House of FOX’s popular, “House” premiering season 5 on Tuesdays this fall.

Season 5 of House will pick up where Season 4 left off with the bitter aftermath of House (Huge Laurie) and Wilson’s (Robert Sean Leonard) shattered relationship on the heels of the death of Wilson’s girlfriend, Amber (Anne Dudek), in the Season 4 finale. House will continue to torment the new members of his team, Dr. Lawrence Kutner (Kal Penn), Dr. Remy Hadley (Olivia Wilde) and Dr. Chris Taub (Peter Jacobson) and, of course, he will be unrelenting to his former team members, Cameron (Jennifer Morrison), Chase (Jesse Spencer) and Foreman (Omar Epps), who plays a brilliant foil to House in most every scene they are in together.

The dynamic with Cuddy (Lisa Edelstein) may take an unusual twist this season as the sexual tension between the two has always been an undercurrent in past seasons, especially in light of the strip-tease that Cuddy did on the bus that House hallucinated about in the Season 4 finale. Rumors are rampant that there will be a definite play made by one or both of the characters towards each other, although we can’t imagine Cuddy “Liking herself in the morning” over that encounter.

The strained relations with Wilson may take several House Season 5 Episodes to mend, if there ever is a situation with House that things could ever be satisfactory mended. To add insult to injury, House will not have the decency to allow things to happen naturally as he adds a Private Detective, played by Michael Weston, into the mix to spy on everybody. Currently Weston is contracted in a multi-episode capacity, but could be added as a regular cast member or even in a possible spin-off that FOX has been mulling if the reception to his character is as resounding as hoped.

Expect more cases that defy explanation to be figured out by our brilliant Dr. House and the tension of the past to be the “White elephant in the room” for most of House Season 5 as the solid hit for FOX continues to steamroll its way into the American psyche.  Watch the new season house - House Season 5 Full Episodes every Tuesday at 8 PM EST.
