Watch Gossip Girl 2 Series

The much buzzed-about CW teen drama, Gossip Girl, is returning to the airwaves for its second season on the CW on Monday nights at 8/7C. The show centers around the antics of a bunch of affluent New York young and hip characters who can’t seem to get out of their own way while they spend loads of their parents cash to support their opulent lifestyle. Along the way, their money seems to get them into more trouble than most could dream about and yet it makes for some compelling TV for the teen set.

GOSSIP GIRL SEASON 2

The story centers around the blog of the infamous, Gossip Girl, voiced by Kristen Bell, who tells of the exploits of the Upper East Side social scene, the home of main characters, Serena der Woodsen (Blake Lively), Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester), the Queen Bee, Nate Archibald (Chace Crawford), Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick), Dan Humphrey (Penn Badgley) and his younger sister, Jenny Humphrey (Taylor Momsen) along with an occasional adult character to make the story interesting.

In the Season 1 final, we had the implication that Chuck and Blair were still a couple and planning a vacation together; Chuck’s father’s situation becoming more intriguing; Blair boarding a plane with a mysterious man and Nate and Serena becoming cozy as were Vanessa and Dan.

Season 2 will again have lots of sex, drugs and pretty new faces along with twists and turns and all the usual love triangles, including a “Cougar” sub-plot that may have moms and dads screaming for their kids to turn off the TV…but that probably won’t happen. In a change of locale, some of the filming will be done in he Hamptons to give even more of an affluent feel to the show and new characters will come and go to keep the central characters even more liked, or despised as the case may be, as the season progresses.

Gossip Girl precedes One Tree Hill on the CW on Monday nights this fall at 8/7C.
