On Monday September 22, ABC Dancing with the Stars returns to its audience with a 3 night premiere on the ABC TV. This September 2008, Dancing with the stars continues its fan following with its seventh season. For those who don’t know about it, Dancing with the Stars is a Primetime Emmy Award nominee and a reality show which has won the People’s Choice Award, which runs on American Broadcasting Company (ABC) TV network.

Dancing with the Stars is a reality show which involves a celebrity pairing up with a professional ballroom dancer. The dancer is responsible of teaching the skills to the celebrity, as they have to perform live on the show every week. These dances are judged & scored by three professional dance judges, and people can vote through text message, phone or online voting. Every week the couple with the lowest score is eliminated. For the dancing activity the couples can choose from foxtrot, cha-cha-cha, quickstep, jive, tango, paso doble, vienesse waltz, mambo, ramba, samba, and waltz. Though, in the final round couples can choose any style or combination called the “freestyle”.

This year thirteen celebrities are going to hit the ballroom floor on these famous American show. This season is set to have the biggest celebrity cast ever, including the two Olympic Gold Medalists, a Grammy winning singer, a television legend, an Oscar Winner and a Super Bowl Champion. Besides this, the dancing squad this year is going to have the youngest & oldest competitors ever for this show.

These thirteen celebrities, dancing with the professionals, this year would be Lance Bass, member of the famous pop group NSYNC, billboard chart topping singer and actress Toni Braxton, the famous Brooke Burke, the award winning celebrity chef Rocco Dispirito, dual gold medalist Maurice Greene, actress come model Kim Kardashian, the famous award winning actress Cloris Leachman, the youngest contestant ever Cody Linley, the sexy Susan Lucci, the volleyball gold medalist Misty May-Treanor, renowned TV actor Ted McGinley, the unstoppable comedian Jeffrey Ross, and the retired Super-bowl champion Warren Sapp.

For the first time, couples need to prepare two routines for the first week. So viewers get to vote both on Monday as well as Tuesday night, eliminating two of the couples in the first week. Viewers can vote via phone, by texting through their AT&T phone as “Vote” followed by the team number and even online at www.abc.com.
